Tecnam is considering this engine, and it looks very interesting - it is lightweight and runs on diesel. The power output is similar to Rotax 912 and for the turbocharged version (125 hp) even better than any Rotax can do:
These 3 cylinder, 6 piston diesels look very similar to a 2 cylinder 4 piston engines the DAIR-100 by Diesel Air Ltd http://www.dair.co.uk/ and mfd by DieselTech LLC marketed as the "PowerLite-100" http://www.dieseltech.cc/. Specs appear comparable, but have not seen price comparisons.
